分詞片語 用法 指什麼?

分詞片語就是將修飾名詞的形容詞子句(關係子句)改成分詞結構的片語。和分詞構句一樣,首要先複習的是,先了解分詞代表的意義,V-ing代表主動和進行p.p.代表被動和完成

 

分詞片語 的形成:二步驟

分詞片語是由形容詞子句(關係子句)變化而來,即是將關代(who/which/that)省略,將動詞改成分詞就完成了!

以步驟來說明:

  1. 步驟一:找出關代。
  2. 步驟二:省略關代,將關係子句的動詞改成分詞。主動意義改為V-ing,被動意義改為p.p.

 

表主動意義:N+V-ing

The man who wore a beard was Mr. Hiddleston.

💡 =The man wearing a beard was Mr. Hiddleston.

(留著鬍子的男人是Hiddleston先生。)

步驟一:找出關代who/which/that,並省略
步驟二:將wore改成分詞,因為對the man而言,wore為主動意義,所以用現在分詞V-ing

 

The children who were building a sand castle were having a lot of fun.

💡 = The children building a sand castle were having a lot of fun.

(正在做沙堡的孩子們玩得很開心。)

→ 省略who were,孩子們與建造的關係為主動,用building

 

The children playing in the park were laughing and having fun.

(在公園玩耍的孩子們在笑和玩樂。)

→ 省略who were,孩子們玩樂是主動意義,因此用V-ing (playing)

 

The woman walking her dog smiled at me as we passed each other on the street.

(遛狗的女人在街上和我擦身而過時對我微笑。)

→ 省略who was,女人遛狗是主動意義,因此用V-ing (walking)

 

 

The car racing down the street was being chased by the police.

(沿著街道疾駛的汽車正在被警察追趕。)

→ 省略which,將raced變成分詞

→ 車子疾駛用動詞race,是主動意義,所以改成現在分詞racing

 

The student studying in the library was so focused that he didn’t hear the noise outside.

(在圖書館學習的學生非常專注,以至於沒有聽到外面的噪音。)

→ 省略who was

→ 學生讀書是主動意義,所以用現在分詞studying

 

The flowers blooming in the garden looked and smelled beautiful.

(花園裡盛開的花朵看起來和聞起來都很美。)

→ 省略which bloomed

→ 花朵盛開是主動意義,所以用現在分詞blooming

表被動意義:N+pp

The jewelry which were kept in the treasure chest was stolen.

= The jewelry kept in the treasure chest was stolen.

= The jewelry being kept in the treasure chest was stolen.

(放在珠寶箱的珠寶被偷了。)

→ the jewelry與keep為被動關係,用p.p.形kept,be動詞必須省略,或改成being可保留

 

The words which were written on the paper were blurred by water.

= The wordswritten on the paper were blurred by water.

(寫在紙上的字被水弄糊了。)

→ the words與write為被動關係,用p.p.形written,be動詞必須省略

 

The car parked in front of the house belongs to my neighbor.

(停在房子前面的車是我鄰居的。)

→ 省略which was

→ 車子被停,是被動概念,故用過去分詞parked

 

The oil painting, created by a famous artist, was sold at an auction.

(那幅由著名畫家所創作的油畫畫作被拍賣售出。)

→ 省略which was

→ 油畫被畫,是被動概念,故用過去分詞created

→ 本句使用非限定用法描述畫作

 

The cake baked by my grandmother was the best I’ve ever tasted.

(我奶奶烤的蛋糕是我嘗過的最好吃的。)

→ 省略which was

→ 蛋糕被烤,是被動概念,故用過去分詞baked

 

The letter written by my friend was filled with kind words and encouragement.

(我的朋友寫的信充滿了友善的話語和鼓勵。)

→ 省略which was

→ 信件被寫,是被動概念,故用過去分詞written

 

 

The movie directed by Steven Spielberg won several awards.

(由Steven Spielberg執導的電影獲得了幾項獎項。)

→ 省略which was

→ 電影被執導,是被動概念,故用過去分詞directed

 

The damaged car fixed by the mechanic looked as good as new.

(被修理工修理過的損壞車輛看起來和新的一樣好。)

→ 省略which was

→ 車輛被修理,是被動概念,故用過去分詞fixed

 

The vase broken by the cat couldn’t be repaired.

(被貓打破的花瓶無法修復。)

→ 省略which was

→ 花瓶被打破,是被動概念,故用過去分詞broken
